ScienceFairNeedsJudges

For many years, Duxbury has run a Science Fair for kids in kindergarten to grade 5. You may have participated as an elementary school kid. Now is your chance to help the project by being a judge!

If you are interested in judging, send an email to j_lynn@duxbury.k12.ma.us to let her know that you will help.

2008 call for judges

Hi everyone,

The K-5 Science Fair is being held on April 5, 2008 at DMS. This annual event is very popular with our students and we typically get about 200 kids entered. I am looking for people who would like to help out with judging the projects. Each project needs to be judged 3 times, by 3 different people. No experience necessary!

It would involve a commitment of about 2 hours on a Saturday morning. (But if you can only give one hour, you are more than welcome!) The judging starts at 9AM and has always been completed by 11:15. It is great to see how involved our students can be in their projects.

Please let me know if you would be willing to help out.

2007 call for judges

The annual Science Fair for students in K-5 will be held at DMS on Saturday March 17 2007. If you would be willing to help with the judging, it would be most appreciated. Some of you are veterans at this, but for those of you who may not know about this.....

It is a wonderful oppportunity for our youngest Duxbury studets to explore and discover new things. We typically have about 200 students participate in this enrichment activity. Each child is judged 3 times. Batelle Labs is assisting again this year with volunteers to help with the judgings but we need more people!

What is expected of our judges?

1. about 90 minutes of your time on Saturday morning, March 17th.

2. to listen to students talk about their projects

3. to ask questions about the projects

Very easy! Fun!

If you think you would be willing to help out, please send me an email. We will get all of the specific information out to you.

Thank you,

Joan Lynn
